The Clinical RSA Research Network is a new initiative and is currently under construction. It is intended to be an international network for improving the quality of clinical radiostereometry research by sharing knowledge between research groups with different levels of RSA expertise. The Clinical RSA Research Network organizes regular meetings at different locations around the world. The first meeting (October 22nd – 25nd 2009) was in Cape Bretton, Canada, organized by Chad Munro of Halifax Biomedical and Dr. Michael Dunbar of CDHA and Dalhousie University. The second meeting (April 7th-8th 2011) was in Leiden, The Netherlands, organized by Edward Valstar, Bart Kaptein and Rob Nelissen of the Leiden University Medical Center. The third meeting was in Lund, Sweden in 2013 organized by Leif Ryd, Gunnar Flivik and Johan Kärrholm.”
The next meeting will be in Bologna in 2015 (May 13- May 15 2015) organized by Prof. Maurilio Marcacci and the RSA Group.
The congress will focus on new application of RSA. RSA is a mature and solid methodology to assess joint stability, but it is time to find a new vision of RSA potential and possibility.
The venue of the Meeting will be the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna, one of the most historical and prestigious orthopedic centers in Europe, where international renowned specialists and opinion leaders in the field of orthopedics will share their knowledge, allowing a better understanding of the potentials and limits of RSA approaches, and of their future applications.
