Francesco Mattia Uboldi, MD

Born in 1984, he earned Medicine and Surgery degree in 2011 at the University of Milan with an experimental thesis on the evaluation of the anterior cruciate ligament, which was then published on KSSTA Journal. As a student and then as a medical doctor, he attended for four years the Knee Surgery Dept. of Gaetano Pini Orthopedic Institute (Milan, Italy), participating in the activities and researches of the department, attending every year more than 350 orthopedic surgeries, especially about ligament reconstruction, chondral/osteo-chondral lesions and patello-femoral diseases (he won a fellowship in Lyon, France, with David Dejour held in 2016). With colleagues, under the guide of the Dept. chief, Massimo Berruto, he has been attending meetings of international importance and participating in experimental studies, many still in course of development.

Since 2015 he has been attending Orthopedic Resident Program of University of Sassari with focus on Sports Injury (First league “Dinamo Sassari” Basketball team), and cartilage repair (he won an Int. Cartilage Repair Society 2016 Award with an animal-experimental study on subchondral bone remodeling).
